Dear Baby Girl, Well, now we know...

Now we know you're a "she" and my mind has been swimming with...
  • Names (we're looking for a family name and so far the short list is Katherine "Kate", Sarah Kate, Rebecca "Becca", Allie, and Janelle "Elle").
  • Nurseries currently obsessed with:

    • And little girly outfits (your Gran-Nana sent a package of goodies for you this week):

I'm already having fun, little girl!

Here's what you were up to this week (18 weeks):

Head to rump, you are about 5 1/2 inches long (about the length of a bell pepper) and weigh almost 7 ounces. You're busy flexing your arms and legs — movements that I'll start noticing more and more in the weeks ahead. Your blood vessels are visible through your thin skin, and your ears are now in their final position, although they're still standing out from your head a bit. A protective covering of myelin is beginning to form around your nerves, a process that will continue for a year after you're born. Your uterus and fallopian tubes are formed and in place.

These were my prayers for you:

That everything would be perfect at the ultrasound with your heart, your lungs, your brain and all the other life giving organs (and they all were!!).  That's it.  That seemed like too much, and I'm so grateful my prayers were answered.
